My teenager is a great kid. Sure, she has attitude and drives me insane on occasion, but really we are very blessed. She is kind, compassionate, mindful, smart and just, well, a good kid. She still comes to me when an unknown number calls her cell and asks me to answer it. She knows what channels she is allowed to watch on TV. She will alert me if she comes across something on the computer that is inappropriate. So when she came to me and asked permission to start watching a new show, I was reminded that we have done something right with this one.
